Displaying a number of late-19th century buildings and objects, the Trails and Rails Museum highlights the experiences of traveling across the country before cars and highways. Some of the museum's featured pieces are the Boyd House, which was the first frame house in the county, the 1898 Union Pacific Depot building, and a 1903 train engine and caboose. The museum and its associated buildings are located in southwest Kearney.
